Kashmiri Youth's Wishlist: What We Expect from Prime Minister Modi's Visit.

Kashmiri Youth's Wishlist: What We Expect from Prime Minister Modi's Visit. Dar Javed There is a huge amount of excitement on the eve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s official visit to kashmir . As Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi embarks on a significant visit , the eyes of the whole nation turn towards the kashmir valley with hopes of progress, reconciliation, and empowerment. For Kashmiri youth like me, this visit holds immense significance as it presents an opportunity for meaningful engagement, dialogue, and concrete action towards addressing the pressing issues facing our region. In this article, I aim to outline why Prime Minister Modi’s visit is crucial for Kashmir and articulate my expectations as a young Kashmiri for his speech and actions concerning youth empowerment and development. First and foremost, Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kashmir symbolizes the central government’s commitment to the region’s welfare and integration with the rest of India. Over the years, under his leadership, we have witnessed several transformative changes in Kashmir that have laid the foundation for a brighter future. From infrastructure development to governance reforms, the central government’s initiatives have brought tangible benefits to the people of Kashmir, improving their quality of life and opening up new opportunities for progress. This would be PM Modi’s second visit to Jammu and Kashmir in less than a month. The PM addressed a public rally in Jammu on February 20 during which he also launched development projects worth over ₹32,000 crore across the country. One of the most significant steps taken by Prime Minister Modi was the abrogation of Article 370 and the bifurcation of the state into Union Territories in 2019. While this decision was met with mixed reactions, it marked a decisive shift towards greater integration and inclusivity in Kashmir. It paved the way for the extension of central government schemes and policies to the region, ensuring that Kashmiris have access to the same rights, benefits, and opportunities as their fellow citizens across the country. All Central laws have been applied in UT of J&K, 205 state laws were repealed and 130 state laws have been modified and applied. Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi’s focus on development and governance has yielded positive results in Kashmir. Infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and airports, have improved connectivity and facilitated economic growth. around 177866 projects have been completed and the government has received Rs 3239.14 Cr investment so far. Rai further said that over 302 bridges have been constructed during the last four years connecting the unconnected habitations. 875 projects worth Rs. 3,639 Crore have been sanctioned under NABARD. Healthcare initiatives have expanded access to quality medical services, while educational reforms have enhanced learning outcomes and created pathways for academic and career advancement. Additionally, efforts to promote tourism and entrepreneurship have unlocked the region’s potential as a hub for cultural exchange and economic activity. However, despite these achievements, there are still challenges that need to be addressed, particularly concerning youth empowerment and employment. As a young Kashmiri, I believe that Prime Minister Modi’s visit presents a unique opportunity to engage directly with the youth and listen to their aspirations, concerns, and ideas. In his speech, I hope to hear a vision for Kashmir that prioritizes youth development, innovation, and inclusivity. Specifically, I expect our Prime Minister Modi to announce concrete measures to address unemployment among Kashmiri youth. While the region has witnessed progress on various fronts, the lack of sufficient job opportunities remains a major challenge. I urge the central government to implement targeted skill development programs, entrepreneurship initiatives, and investment projects that create meaningful employment opportunities for young Kashmiris. Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit should focus on empowering Kashmiri youth to become active participants in the development process. This can be achieved through initiatives that promote civic engagement, leadership development, and community participation. By nurturing the talents and aspirations of young Kashmiris, we can build a more vibrant and inclusive society that harnesses the potential of every individual. In addition to youth empowerment, I expect our hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to reaffirm the central government’s commitment to inclusive development in Kashmir. This includes investments in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and tourism that benefit all segments of society, particularly marginalized communities and remote areas. By ensuring that the fruits of development reach every corner of Kashmir, we can build a more equitable and prosperous future for our region. Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi’s visit should emphasize the importance of peace, stability, and reconciliation in Kashmir. While development is essential, it must be accompanied by efforts to address the underlying political grievances and foster a conducive environment for dialogue and resolution. I hope to hear a message of unity, tolerance, and coexistence that transcends divisions and promotes harmony among all communities in Kashmir. In conclusion, Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kashmir is a historic opportunity to chart a new course for our region based on empowerment, development, and reconciliation. As a young Kashmiri, I am optimistic about the possibilities that lie ahead and eager to contribute to the progress of my homeland. I urge our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seize this moment to inspire and empower the youth of Kashmir, laying the foundation for a brighter and more prosperous future for generations to come. Celebrating Janmasthami : Deep connection to my Roots

Dar Javed Polity | Governance | Culture . As I sat in my small hostel appartment, thousands of miles away from home, my heart longed for the familiar streets of Kashmir. But little did I know, a news headline this morning was about to transport me back to the valley, filling my heart with pride and joy.
